Dr. Bernice Cheng joined The Joyous Vet after graduating from Murdoch University. Besides seeing dogs and cats, she is interested in treating other small furry pets such as guinea pigs and chinchillas. Dr Cheng has a passion for dermatology and believes that resolving skin problems can make a huge improvement in the quality of life for pets. She also takes interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine and hopes that it can enhance her veterinary practice in time to come. Dr Cheng is a strong believer of responsible pet ownership; she believes that pet owners can achieve that by researching and knowing what it takes to keep their pets healthy before acquiring any pets and continue to keep themselves updated on such information throughout the lifespan of their pets. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her two dogs by taking them to the dog run or the beach and she enjoys learning salsa dancing.

Dr. Gwenda Lowe graduated from the University of Sydney before joining The
Joyous Vet. Although she was trained in both large and small animal
veterinary medicine, Dr Lowe particularly enjoys seeing dogs, cats and
pocket pets. She believes that the health of each pet is dependent on three
factors - genetics (the animal), husbandry (the owner) and medical care (the
vet). Consequently, she strives on her part to provide the best veterinary
care possible, while endeavouring to work with owners on awareness and
husbandry knowledge, so that together we can help our pets lead healthier,
happier lives. Dr Lowe has an interest in oncology and palliative care. She
is owned by a 16 year old Shih Tzu-Sheltie named Cash, a Syrian hamster
named Zorro and a Cat named Mr. Pascal. |
